- Transition to Math Practices - This document is a guide to help build student discourse in the classroom. This will ensure integrating the 8 Standards for Mathematical Practices.
- How to Get Students Talking by Lisa De Garcia shows how to plan for the year and provides great strategies!
- Communication Speaks, Teaching Children Mathematics by Robin Kinman is a great article that provides practical easy advice for teachers. The article is published by NCTM and can also be found on their website if you currently belong.
- Middle Level Student Math Talks from San Diego Unified School District can be used in both Middle School and High SchoolSeconary Level Student Math Talks.
